Billing Coordinator (Remote)

About the role

The Billing Coordinator supports revenue cycle operations by ensuring accurate charge and payment posting, resolving denials, and maintaining healthy accounts receivable. This remote position is essential for timely reimbursement of professional and surgical services.

Key responsibilities

• Process and submit clean claims for professional and surgical services.
• Post payments, adjustments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Follow up on unpaid, underpaid, and denied claims across all aging buckets.
• Review EOBs and payer responses to determine next actions.
• Maintain clear documentation in the billing system and escalate complex issues as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably with professional and surgical services.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with reliable computer and high‑speed internet.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CPT, ICD‑10, modifiers, and payer guidelines.
• Familiarity with global periods and surgical billing concepts.
• Experience with EHR systems, practice management (PM) software, and clearinghouses.
