Field Engineer – FTTH & LTE Services

About the role

The Digicel+ Field Engineer ensures high‑quality delivery of FTTH‑GPON and LTE‑TDD services to residential and business customers. This role combines on‑site installation, fault repair, and customer education while supervising contractors to meet company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality control checks on technicians' work and document deviations.
• Audit and inspect installations and fault‑repair jobs against the Perfect Install quality manual.
• Perform in‑house fault repairs for residential and business customers.
• Carry out site surveys, material performance analysis, and make recommendations.
• Test fiber networks using power meters and other testing equipment.
• Produce monthly status reports and support special projects.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, or Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience delivering in‑premises telecom services.
• Customer‑facing experience, preferably in telecom.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• FTTH, GPON, LTE‑TDD knowledge.
• Proficiency with fiber testing equipment, including power meters.
• Microsoft Office suite.
