Inventory Control Supervisor

About the role

The Inventory Control Supervisor will join Iberostar Group’s management team in Jamaica to ensure accurate and secure inventory management across all hotel departments. You will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, maintaining reliable inventory records, and supporting continuous improvement of control processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and surprise inventory audits throughout the property.
• Perform stock reconciliations, investigate variances, shortages and overages.
• Monitor inventory movements and enforce compliance with control procedures.
• Identify risks such as pilferage or loss and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement stronger inventory control processes to improve efficiency.
• Prepare audit reports, variance analyses and present recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with department heads, purchasing, warehouse, finance and security to resolve issues.
• Ensure accurate documentation and authorization of all stock transactions.
• Train inventory custodians and departmental supervisors on proper procedures.
• Support internal and external audits and drive continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory control or stock management, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Effective communication skills to work with multiple departments.
• Ability to train and guide staff on inventory procedures.
