Systems Technician – IT Support (Jamaica)

About the role

The Systems Technician will join Iberostar Group’s IT team in Jamaica, providing day‑to‑day technical support for hotel operations. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting the hotel’s IT infrastructure to ensure reliable hardware and software performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide initial support for production applications and end‑user issues.
• Maintain the Wi‑Fi network, troubleshoot connectivity problems and support guest and staff access.
• Accompany and assist external suppliers during on‑site visits.
• Monitor and verify daily backup routines.
• Keep the IT equipment inventory up to date.
• Ensure antivirus solutions are active and up‑to‑date.
• Perform periodic operating system updates on computers.
• Support training sessions on company software.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on printers, computers and other peripherals.

Required profile

• Certificate in Information Technology (university degree desirable).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and calm under pressure.
• Effective communication with users at all levels.
• Proactive, innovative and autonomous work style.
• Intermediate English proficiency and ability to work in a team.
