Technical Advisor Senior Bakery

About the role

Puratos is looking for a Senior Technical Advisor to support bakery, pastry and chocolate customers in Jamaica. You will combine deep product knowledge with hands‑on training to help customers improve yields, quality and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on product applications, specifications, costing and display.
• Respond to customer inquiries, complaints and product‑trial requests.
• Prepare and deliver training courses, presentations and on‑site demonstrations.
• Conduct product trials for R&D and support commercial initiatives.
• Generate work plans, technical reports and risk‑prevention documentation.
• Report unsafe conditions and promote food‑safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in Food Technology, Bakery, Pastry or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar technical advisory role.
• Pastry technician background with hospitality experience.
• User‑level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of bakery, pastry and chocolate product preparation and machinery handling.
• Familiarity with food‑technology legislation, health regulations and safety standards.
