Assistant Accountant

About the role

The Assistant Accountant will reconcile monthly balance‑sheet accounts, prepare journal entries and support the company’s tax portfolio. This role works closely with the senior accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review coding of all journal entries and tax payable documents for completeness and compliance.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries and distribute relevant reports to aviation terminals.
• Assist in calculating and recording GCT, Withholding Tax, Property Tax, CIT and DIT in the ERP system.
• Support the timely filing and payment of annual tax returns and estimated income tax.
• Prepare account reconciliations and monthly non‑trade reports as assigned.
• Generate debit and credit memos for accounts‑receivable transactions.
• Provide accounting assistance to the finance team and external auditors.
• Help resolve discrepancies on assigned accounts and support month‑end close activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting or a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CGA, AAT).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems.
• Experience preparing and recording tax calculations (GCT, Withholding Tax, Property Tax, CIT, DIT).
