Associate Manager, Data Privacy

About the role

The Associate Manager, Data Privacy will advise Liberty Caribbean on privacy, data protection and technology‑related regulatory matters. Working closely with security, engineering, marketing and operations, the role supports the design and implementation of Liberty Latin America’s privacy program across Caribbean markets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Privacy Officer in designing and rolling out the privacy program.
• Act as local Data Protection Officer where required by law.
• Provide proactive, commercially focused legal and regulatory guidance on privacy matters.
• Coordinate cross‑departmental efforts to implement privacy principles, data subject rights, privacy‑by‑design, records of processing activities, security of processing and breach response.
• Maintain compliance records and conduct privacy impact assessments, risk analyses and remediation.
• Deliver training to foster a data‑privacy compliance culture and support security incident response.
• Advise on privacy controls in contracts and third‑party due diligence.
• Support special projects and initiatives as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree and Legal Education Certificate.
• 5+ years of experience in compliance, data protection, legal or related functions within financial services, telecommunications, regulatory bodies or consulting.
• Demonstrated interest in privacy or corporate security, with relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISSP) preferred.
