Audit Staff – Experienced Level

About the role

Join EY's Audit Strategy & Delivery team in Jamaica as an experienced Audit Staff member. You will support clients in meeting their reporting requirements through independent examination of financial statements, constructive discussions with management, and clear communication with audit committees.

Key responsibilities

• Identify potential audit issues or unusual relationships from financial statement analysis and communicate findings to the team.
• Document execution of audit procedures accurately, aligned with engagement objectives and planned approach.
• Challenge existing procedures and seek enhancements to audit techniques.
• Maintain professionalism and competence within the client environment.
• Develop and sustain productive relationships with client personnel, responding promptly to requests.
• Stay informed of business and economic developments relevant to the client.
• Contribute ideas to the audit team and collaborate with colleagues.
• Leverage technology to share knowledge and improve service delivery.
• Identify potential business opportunities and present ideas to apply EY's knowledge and services.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or a related business field, or enrollment in an accounting designation (ACCA, CA, CPA).
• 2‑3 years of audit experience in a public accounting firm or relevant industry experience.
• Strong client focus and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
