Claims Representative

About the role

We are looking for a Claims Representative to join our insurance brokerage team in Kingston. The role involves managing the end‑to‑end claims process, negotiating settlements and ensuring clients receive timely, fair outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate claim settlements with insurers, adjusters and third parties.
• Record and maintain accurate claims data from reports.
• Communicate consistently with clients throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Handle liability, motor, property and other insurance classes.
• Ensure compliance with anti‑money‑laundering and regulatory policies.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Management or related field (preferred).
• Jamaica Insurance Diploma or equivalent certifications in claims, motor, property or liability.
• At least three years of experience in insurance broking or a similar claims role.
• Registered with the Financial Services Commission is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with broking software packages and basic office systems.
• Strong negotiation and customer service abilities.
