Culture & People Experience Officer

About the role

The Culture & People Experience Officer partners with business leaders to deliver proactive, value‑added HR support that aligns people strategies with business objectives. Acting as the primary HR contact for assigned units, the role ensures consistent application of policies and drives performance, accountability and organizational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to provide strategic HR guidance aligned with business objectives.
• Serve as primary HR contact for assigned business units, advising on performance management, talent management and workforce planning.
• Support implementation of the performance management framework and coach managers on performance reviews.
• Identify workforce needs, support succession planning and talent development.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to fill vacancies and ensure effective onboarding.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, engagement and retention initiatives.
• Assist Industrial Relations on formal employee matters and retention strategies.
• Identify capability gaps and support learning, organizational design and change management initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management Studies or equivalent.
• Human Resources professional certification preferred.
• Minimum five years HR experience, including at least two years at a senior level.
• Strong knowledge of Jamaican Labour Laws, Pensions Act and Insurance Regulations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Experience using HR information systems.
