Customer Service Agent – Financial Services

About the role

The Customer Service Agent is responsible for handling cash, checks, and electronic payments while maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions. You will support customers with currency exchange, bill payments, remittance, and MoneyGram services, ensuring a smooth and reliable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and count the cash float at the start of each shift.
• Identify customers and process transactions for Cambio, remittance, and bill payment services.
• Accept cash, checks, and debit/credit cards, verify payment slips, and issue computer‑generated receipts.
• Check incoming cash for counterfeit bills and verify amounts.
• Examine checks for proper endorsements, dates, bank details, and legality.
• Receive and verify cash from supervisors for MoneyGram transactions and disburse payments to customers.
• Record all transactions promptly and accurately in compliance with company procedures.
• Attempt to resolve customer issues and promote Prime Trust Financial products and services.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a focus on satisfaction.
• Experience in customer‑facing roles such as Customer Service Representative.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills with active listening.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Secondary education with passes in at least three CXC subjects, including English, Mathematics or Accounts.
• Minimum of one year experience in a retail or similar environment; financial‑services experience is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Experience using customer management software.
• Basic competence with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
