About the role
The Customs Documentation Clerk ensures that all import and export shipments comply with customs regulations and internal procedures. You will act as a liaison between airlines, shipping lines, suppliers and internal teams to guarantee smooth clearance and timely delivery of goods.
Key responsibilities
- Verify tariff classifications and maintain an up‑to‑date internal clearance log.
- Prepare and publish customs documentation on the web server.
- Request duty and tax payments from finance and submit all shipment manifests.
- Monitor shipment status, update company systems (Ops log, Cargo Wise) and follow up on arrival notices.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, shipping companies and carriers to obtain clearance updates.
- Apply for required customs permits and assist with physical dispatch when needed.
- Support delivery order processing in the Port Community System (PCS).
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customs documentation or similar logistics roles.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Basic knowledge of AFR and OFR operations, handling and documentation.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Experience using Cargo Wise.
- Familiarity with Port Community System (PCS) for delivery orders.
