Deputy CEO

About the role

The Hive Careers is looking for a commercially driven Deputy Chief Executive Officer to partner with the CEO in accelerating growth, improving profitability and expanding across the Caribbean. This senior executive position demands a strategic leader who can turn vision into measurable results.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO to execute strategic and commercial priorities.
• Drive revenue through business development, enterprise sales, strategic partnerships and market expansion.
• Protect existing revenue via client retention, account management and contract oversight.
• Lead cost‑optimization and operational‑efficiency initiatives to improve margins.
• Oversee Sales, Operations, Talent Delivery and other core functions.
• Own P&L performance, budgets, forecasts, margins and key KPIs.
• Negotiate high‑level commercial agreements and strengthen enterprise client relationships.
• Identify new markets, service offerings and revenue opportunities in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
• Implement scalable processes, technology adoption, automation and performance management.
• Build and develop high‑performing leadership teams and manage business risks.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in general management, commercial leadership, operations, consulting, staffing or HR technology.
• Proven ownership of P&L, revenue and profitability targets.
• Track record of generating and protecting revenue while optimizing costs.
• Experience managing enterprise clients, strategic partnerships and senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial, financial, strategic and operational acumen.
• Experience leading multiple business functions and senior teams.
• Caribbean or multi‑country leadership experience is a plus.
