Field Engineer – FTTH & LTE Services

About the role

The Digicel+ Field Engineer is responsible for delivering high‑quality FTTH‑GPON and LTE‑TDD services to residential and business customers. The role involves extensive on‑site work, supervising contractors, performing installations, fault repairs, and providing customer education.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality‑control checks on technicians’ work and document deviations.
• Audit and inspect installations and fault‑repair jobs according to the Perfect Install quality manual.
• Perform in‑house fault repairs for residential and business customers.
• Carry out site surveys and material performance analysis.
• Test fibre networks using power meters and other testing equipment.
• Produce monthly status reports and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain safe working habits and comply with company regulations.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics or Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience delivering in‑premises telecom services.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license meeting company insurance requirements.

Required skills

• Power Meter operation for fibre testing.
• Use of fibre testing equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
