Fraud Prevention Agent (Backoffice)

About the role

The Fraud Prevention Agent works as a primary defense specialist, focusing on proactive detection, investigation, and mitigation of sophisticated fraud patterns such as scams, account takeovers, and payment abuse. This back‑office position requires an adversarial mindset to protect the ecosystem while adhering to regulatory and departmental SLAs.

Key responsibilities

• Adversarial Analysis: Conduct deep‑dive investigations using device fingerprinting, IP analysis, and behavioral biometrics to uncover social‑engineering patterns.
• High‑Stakes Decisioning: Make final disposition decisions for high‑risk funding and transaction activities, applying established procedures and investigative judgment.
• Technical Documentation: Produce evidentiary case notes that clearly explain decision rationale, ensuring a defensible audit trail for compliance.
• Queue Integrity: Manage high‑volume triage queues with an emphasis on qualitative accuracy, guaranteeing no high‑risk alert is missed.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 + year of direct experience in fraud prevention, AML, or KYC within financial services or payments.
• Ability to pass a standard typing test (45+ WPM with high accuracy).
• Strong analytical writing skills to synthesize complex data into clear documentation.
• High school diploma required; college degree or vocational certification is a plus.
• Behavioral attributes: healthy skepticism, precision‑oriented, metric‑driven integrity.
