Group Accounting Manager

About the role

Minott Equipment & Chemicals Ltd. is seeking a hands‑on Group Accounting Manager to serve as the operational anchor of its finance function. Working directly with the Financial Controller, you will ensure daily accounting accuracy, optimise processes, and maintain strong internal controls across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Drive daily accuracy of accounting records and streamline the Accounts Payable function.
• Align and reconcile sub‑ledgers, ensuring consistency with the general ledger.
• Safeguard compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks through workflow re‑engineering.
• Support the Financial Controller with strategic financial initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead capacity.
• Strong background in internal/external auditing, sub‑ledger reconciliations, and process optimisation.
• Professional accounting designation such as ACCA (preferred) or equivalent.
• Proactive, structured mindset with a focus on operational precision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
