HR Director – Hospitality

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Director to lead the human resources function for the ROK Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica. The role will oversee all HR activities, ensuring compliance, talent acquisition, and employee development within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the HR team, managing the department budget.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of employment laws and ensure property compliance with regulations such as EEO, OSHA, ADA, and immigration requirements.
• Lead recruitment, screening, and onboarding for both exempt and non‑exempt staff, including interviews and reference checks.
• Administer employee benefits, wage and salary programs, and performance evaluation processes.
• Communicate new policies and directives to all employees and provide guidance on policy interpretation.
• Participate in hearings and investigations related to unemployment, workers’ compensation, and other labor matters.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing HR functions in the hospitality or related service industry.
• Strong knowledge of local and international labor regulations.
• Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
• Ability to develop and implement HR policies and programs.
