Information Officer (Montego Bay)

About the role

The Information Officer will serve visitors at designated information kiosks in Montego Bay, providing accurate tourism information, handling complaints, and supporting cruise passenger dispatch. This position works closely with the Information Officer Supervisor and other TPDCo teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the dispatching of cruise passengers.
• Collect and collate data for statistical and analytical reports.
• Disseminate correct tourism product information to visitors.
• Organise and maintain the Information Officers Manual.
• Coordinate with relevant agencies to address visitor complaints.
• Collect, manage and distribute brochures and related materials to ensure adequate supply.
• Support the delivery of contract carriage licences and related forms.
• Provide assistance at other TPDCo locations, including Falmouth, as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum of four CXC/GCE O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work at Montego Bay and Falmouth piers.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Observance of confidentiality where applicable.
