IT/OT Security Engineer (6-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an IT/OT Security Engineer to join a global organisation on a 6‑month extendable contract in Kingston, Jamaica. The role combines infrastructure development, cyber security and incident management across both corporate IT and operational technology environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IT and OT infrastructure supporting production environments.
• Implement cyber security controls and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Manage security incidents and act as subject‑matter expert for OT security.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting technology in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Professional certifications or equivalent expertise in networking, infrastructure and information security.
• Experience managing technology estates across multiple sites and maintaining consistent standards.
• Strong knowledge of OT security, including protecting production environments without disrupting operations.
• Hands‑on ownership of on‑site network equipment, compute platforms and physical facilities.
• Familiarity with SCADA, industrial control systems and PLC‑based automation.
• Ability to plan and execute infrastructure lifecycle projects such as upgrades, replacements and modernisation.
• Comfortable collaborating with both corporate IT and OT teams to translate security requirements into practical solutions.
