Junior Accountant

About the role

Avalon Logistics Co. is seeking a diligent Junior Accountant to join its finance team. You will support the company’s financial operations across finance, administration, and logistics, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Maintain general ledger entries and up‑to‑date financial records.
• Assist with bank, cash, payable, and debt reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Help process payroll and related disbursements.
• Contribute to monthly and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules as required.
• Assist with tax filings, audit preparation, and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; internships or entry‑level experience are acceptable.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management, and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Zoho, QuickBooks or SAGE.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office Suite.
