Network Engineer – Onsite Contract Role

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join ResolveIT Limited on a contract basis at our Kingston office. The role focuses on configuring, maintaining and monitoring the company’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, label and troubleshoot Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A and fiber‑optic cabling.
• Maintain structured cabling systems, patch panels, network racks, cabinets and cable‑management.
• Configure, install, troubleshoot and maintain routers, switches, wireless access points and firewalls.
• Provide basic installation and troubleshooting support for physical servers and related infrastructure.
• Perform network assessments, site surveys and LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi and performance troubleshooting.
• Create and update network diagrams, topology maps and as‑built documentation using Visio, Lucidchart or Draw.io.
• Document IP addresses, VLANs, device inventories and produce cable test reports.
• Participate in preventive maintenance, on‑site technical support and network installation projects.

Required profile

• On‑site availability to work at client locations in Kingston.
• Strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Attention to detail in documentation and service reporting.

Required skills

• Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A and fiber‑optic cabling installation and testing.
• Structured cabling, patch panels, rack and cable‑management systems.
