Process & Controls Improvement Officer

About the role

The Process & Controls Improvement Officer will identify business risks, develop and maintain policies and procedures, and support the Risk & Compliance Manager in delivering training. This role ensures the control framework is robust and aligns with the company’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Agree annually with the Executive Team on the list of Business Policies and Procedures to create, maintain or review.
• Perform monthly risk assessments for each location and a semi‑annual comprehensive business risk assessment.
• Coordinate audit activities with internal and inter‑company auditors and ensure timely closure of audit issues.
• Review new and existing customers weekly to verify compliance with AML and Know Your Customer procedures.
• Conduct monthly reviews of AML cash transactions and third‑party payments, escalating breaches as needed.
• Deliver bi‑monthly training on policies and procedures to all employees.
• Investigate alleged breaches of the Code of Conduct, business policies, or fraudulent activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in business process analysis, audit or loss prevention.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a self‑driven, can‑do attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and travel on short notice.
• Own a reliable motor vehicle.
