Project Leader – Debt Collection

About the role

The Project Leader – Debt Collection will own and manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts for a leading sanitation and pest‑control provider in Kingston. This hands‑on position balances firm collection actions with preserving customer relationships, ensuring cash flow stability for the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor ageing balances, track delinquent accounts and reduce days outstanding.
• Contact debtors via phone, mail, email or in‑person to negotiate repayment.
• Prepare account statements and design structured, manageable repayment plans.
• Trace and locate debtors who have changed contact details or relocated.
• Maintain accurate records of communications and payment ledgers.
• Initiate dunning processes with management approval and coordinate with legal teams on uncollectible accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
• Familiarity with local debt‑collection regulations is an asset.
• Reliable motor vehicle for field visits.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience using CRM databases.
• Strong command of MS Office applications.
