Senior Cashier (Temporary)

About the role

The Senior Cashier (Temporary) will manage all cash‑related transactions for Caribbean Maritime University, ensuring accurate collection, recording, and reporting of fees and other payments. This role provides front‑line customer service to students, parents, and other stakeholders while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Collect payments by cash, credit/debit card, and authorized methods from students, sponsors, donors, and agencies.
• Enter payment data into the university’s ERP system and generate invoices for resits, graduation, and other services.
• Prepare daily lodgement sheets, bank deposit slips, and hand over cash proceeds for validation.
• Investigate credit balances, refund requests, and financial aid inquiries, providing documentation for approval.
• Assist international students with invoicing and respond to accounting queries via email, phone, or face‑to‑face.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and customer interactions, ensuring confidentiality.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and internal departments.
