Senior Tax Associate

About the role

KPMG is looking for a dynamic, results‑oriented Senior Tax Associate to deliver high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of local, regional and multinational clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporation tax returns, tax computations, deferred tax calculations, withholding tax filings and VAT returns.
• Conduct detailed reviews of client financial statements and tax positions to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities.
• Assist in drafting tax advisory reports, technical memoranda, tax opinions and client correspondence.
• Perform tax due‑diligence for mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and other corporate transactions.
• Research domestic, regional and international tax legislation and provide technical support on advisory engagements.
• Serve as the day‑to‑day point of contact for assigned clients, handling routine tax queries.
• Liaise with tax authorities on assessments, audits, objections and tax clearances.
• Support audit teams with tax‑related financial statement disclosures, corporate tax provisions and deferred tax calculations under IFRS.
• Monitor engagement progress, manage outsourced accounting and tax compliance services, and mentor junior associates.

Required profile

• Strong technical tax knowledge with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements independently while supporting managers and partners.
• Excellent communication skills and a client‑focused mindset.
