Sr. Associate Manager – Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Associate Manager to lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities for Sutherland’s operations in Jamaica and support regional needs across the US and Canada. The role will manage a spend portfolio of over USD 20 million, driving cost savings and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Support negotiations and purchase of goods and services up to USD 25 K; for higher‑value transactions follow senior leadership direction.
• Coordinate supplier quotations, prepare comparative analyses and assist in contract negotiations.
• Maintain vendor relationships, resolve quality, price, delivery or invoice issues and act as the local point of contact.
• Prepare purchase orders, obtain internal approvals and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Monitor supplier performance, support governance processes and identify alternative sources.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Marketing, Facilities, Finance, Legal, IT) on project‑related purchases.
• Drive initiatives to improve spend visibility, contract coverage and achieve 8‑10 % annual cost savings.
• Oversee facilities, HR and marketing procurement for Jamaica, US and Canada, handling more than 1 000 purchase orders per year.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supply‑chain management, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate quotations, contracts and supplier performance.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal and external partners.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with procurement policies, governance structures and cost‑saving methodologies.
