Tax Manager

About the role

EY Jamaica is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Tax Advisory and Compliance practice, working on complex Jamaican, regional and international tax matters for a portfolio of local, regional and global businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of tax advisory and compliance engagements, including planning, budgeting, resourcing, delivery, risk management and billing.
• Research and advise on complex tax issues using EY methodologies, tools, data analytics and AI-enabled technologies.
• Draft, review and refine tax advice, technical memoranda, opinion papers and client correspondence.
• Identify tax exposure, manage tax risks and interact with tax authorities.
• Lead compliance engagements, forecast work, delegate tasks and resolve staffing issues.
• Maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives.
• Coach and develop junior team members, providing performance feedback.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of Jamaican tax law and tax administration.
• 5-7+ years of relevant tax experience, including advisory and compliance work.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with commercial awareness.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
