Technology Intern

About the role

As a Technology Intern in the TAC Tier 1 team, you will provide first‑level support to Digicel’s Business Solutions customers across a range of products, including internet, voice, cloud telephony and IP PBX services. This role offers hands‑on experience with network monitoring, ticket handling and customer communication.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network and related platforms to proactively identify and resolve issues, escalating when necessary.
• Handle customer tickets through the ticketing tool, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements.
• Communicate network performance and service availability to stakeholders via established channels.
• Perform surveillance and preventive maintenance to avoid service outages.
• Serve as the first point of contact for Business Solutions customers via email and phone.
• Maintain accurate customer data in Solarwinds, BMC Helix and shared documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team‑player attitude.

Required skills

• Cisco CCNA knowledge.
• Understanding of SIP and VoIP protocols.
• Experience with video and VoIP technology operations.
• Installation and configuration of Cisco devices (asset).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Solarwinds and BMC Helix platforms.
