About the role
This trainee position supports the Dispatch and Depot Coordinator by handling the weighing, documentation, and invoicing of bulk and bagged cement deliveries. The role ensures accurate record‑keeping and provides timely information to sales and logistics teams.
Key responsibilities
- Weigh trucks, record license numbers, driver names, and purchasing company details.
- Seal trucks and complete scale tickets with all required information.
- Record daily delivery figures for bulk cement, Carib Plus bags, and Jumbo bags.
- Print customer cement balances and prepare ship lists with correct system entries.
- Convert bulk cement measurements from pounds to tons.
- Generate contracts for each truck load and input daily delivery data into the computer system.
- Report daily figures to the Sales Delivery, Packing Plant Supervisor or Manager, and the Sales & Marketing Office.
- Perform any additional job‑related functions as required.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, customer service, or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and customer‑service orientation.
- Flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
