Truck Driver

About the role

Ping's Fabrics is seeking a full‑time Truck Driver to support its network of retail stores across central to western Jamaica. Based in Kingston, you will safely transport fabrics and related products between the central warehouse, the Kingston store, and other locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and follow the most efficient routes, adjusting for traffic and road conditions.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo, inspecting vehicles before and after trips.
• Transport goods to stores such as Montego Bay, Savanna La Mar, and Mandeville, using company vans when required.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage.
• Assist the Shipping Department with receiving, checking, and organizing merchandise.
• Support warehouse tasks including sorting, packing, inventory counting, and cleaning.
• Follow safety regulations, wear required protective gear, and keep work areas tidy.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for operating company trucks.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy fabric rolls and pallets.
• Strong attention to road safety and vehicle inspection procedures.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with store staff and logistics teams.
• Reliability and professionalism in a fast‑paced retail environment.
