Truck/Fleet Technician – Maintenance & Repairs

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Truck/Fleet Technician to keep our commercial vehicle fleet operating safely, reliably and cost‑effectively. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues, and ensuring high vehicle uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and brake problems.
• Conduct pre‑delivery, post‑repair and routine vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance records.
• Identify root causes of recurring breakdowns and recommend corrective actions.
• Prioritise repairs based on safety and operational impact.
• Keep the workshop, tools and equipment clean, safe and well organised.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a truck or heavy‑duty vehicle technician, preferably on a commercial fleet.
• Qualifications in Automotive/Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Equipment Technology or a related trade.
• Valid driver’s licence; heavy‑duty/commercial licence is an asset.
• Physical ability to lift, stand and work in varied conditions.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

• Preventive maintenance planning.
• Welding and fabrication (certification a plus).
