Virtual Instructor – Primary Exit Profile (PEP) Grades 4‑6

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Virtual Instructor to deliver engaging online lessons for Primary Exit Profile (PEP) assessments for Grades 4‑6. The instructor will plan, teach and assess subjects such as Mathematics, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies, helping learners achieve curriculum standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate interactive online lessons aligned with the National Standards Curriculum for Grades 4‑6.
• Teach assigned PEP subjects, including Mathematics, Language Arts, Science and/or Social Studies.
• Develop differentiated lessons, exercises, quizzes and enrichment activities that address varied learning needs.
• Use online learning tools, multimedia and collaborative activities to promote active participation.
• Administer and mark assessments; provide clear feedback to learners and parents where required.
• Monitor attendance, participation, progress and assessment data to identify learners requiring support.
• Maintain accurate student‑performance and assessment records.
• Attend planning meetings, training and assessment‑related activities as scheduled.
• Participate in professional development and upskill in online instruction and educational technology.
• Comply with programme schedules, reporting requirements and quality‑assurance standards.

Required profile

• Recognised undergraduate degree in Education or a related discipline; graduate‑level education preferred.
• At least three years’ teaching experience in a school setting.
• Demonstrated experience teaching the National Standards Curriculum at the primary level, particularly Grades 4‑6.
• Strong knowledge of PEP assessment expectations and primary‑level assessment practices.

Required skills

• Ability to design learner‑centred, differentiated and engaging online lessons.
• Strong digital literacy and confidence using virtual teaching platforms and educational technology.
• Knowledge of best practices in remote instruction, online learner engagement and virtual classroom management.
• Effective assessment, student‑performance monitoring and intervention‑planning skills.
• Strong communication, organisation and time‑management abilities.
