Warehouse Manager

About the role

MEC is strengthening its warehouse operations in Kingston, Jamaica and seeks an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead daily inventory movement, storage, and order fulfillment. You will ensure that products are received, stored, picked, and dispatched accurately while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and investigate any inventory discrepancies.
• Coordinate staff scheduling, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
• Optimize warehouse layout, product placement, and workflow to improve efficiency.
• Develop and enforce procedures to reduce loss, damage, and operational inefficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper operation of forklifts and material‑handling equipment.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Sales, Logistics, and other teams to align warehouse operations with business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision, preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of stock control, inventory management, receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch processes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including staff scheduling and accountability.
• Experience improving warehouse workflows and overall operational efficiency.
• High school diploma minimum; logistics or supply‑chain certifications are a plus.
