Buyer Care Specialist

About the role

itel is looking for a Buyer Care Specialist in Kingston. Support teams must be available when buyers need them, so the role requires flexible availability to follow an assigned 7-day schedule within operating hours: Monday to Friday 6am-7pm CST and Saturday and Sunday 8am-5pm CST.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer support for all customers, external and internal.
• Register prospective buyers and verify that their documents meet the required standards and applicable state laws.
• Set up online accounts so buyers can take part in online bidding.
• Review accounts set up at branches to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements and state laws.
• Answer customer questions by phone, online chat or e-mail and aim for one contact resolution.
• Act as liaison between customers and branches.
• Translate for branches, dispatch centres and sister companies when needed.

Required profile

• At least one year of customer service experience (or 3 CXC subjects including English plus 2 years of customer service experience).
• Minimum of 5 CXC subjects including English.
• Knowledge of procedures and state licensing laws on buyer registration.
• Thorough knowledge of branch operations.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus; automotive, insurance and/or rental car experience and administrative experience are also a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of the website and its bidding tools to help customers navigate it and maintain online accounts.
