Cash Receipting Associate (Contract)

About the role

Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a Cash Receipting Associate on a contract basis to join its Insurance Operation Services – Revenue Operations and Payment Team. The role ensures that payments collected across various business lines are accurately receipted to the correct accounts in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

• Receipt and logging of all payment tender types (cash, cheque, bank deposit, debit/credit card, etc.) and reporting daily collections to the supervisor.
• Process payments on Smart Cash / CAPSIL with 100% accuracy, including client deposits, life‑insurance premiums, mortgage payments and inter‑company transfers.
• Update policy and group accounts with the appropriate payment details and identify any anomalies for resolution.
• Process e‑payments for EBA, pension and cooperative deposits.
• Balance daily cash reports, prepare cash/cheque submissions for the bank and notify supervisors of any shortages or excesses.
• Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• At least two years of work experience, including one year in an operations division of a life‑insurance company.
• Sound knowledge of word‑processing and spreadsheet applications.
• High level of integrity and strong written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
• Working knowledge of insurance products, processes, procedures and local data‑privacy regulations.
