Finance Officer – UNICEF Caribbean MCO

About the role

The Finance Officer supports finance activities across UNICEF's Caribbean Multi‑Country Office, ensuring sound financial management, compliance and high‑quality finance services for twelve programme countries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support on finance and accounting matters, including financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and treasury activities.
• Supervise one Finance Associate, ensuring timely completion of finance support tasks.
• Monitor compliance with financial controls, identify risks and support fraud prevention.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and implementation of new financial systems and tools.
• Collaborate with operations, programme budget and risk officers to integrate finance, budgeting, risk management and internal control functions.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, financial management or related field (or equivalent CIPFA diploma).
• Relevant work experience in finance, accounting or financial management.
• Knowledge of UNICEF Financial Regulations, IPSAS standards and corporate policies.
