Legal and Compliance Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Legal and Compliance Specialist to join our team in Jamaica. In this on‑site position you will help ensure that our business practices align with local laws, global regulations, and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Review contracts, legal documents, and business practices to identify compliance risks.
• Recommend and help implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct or coordinate compliance training sessions.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and assist with internal investigations or audits.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and prepare reports for management.
• Support interactions with regulators and external partners as needed.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and corporate governance.
• Experience in compliance program management, policy drafting, monitoring, and risk assessment.
• Ability to review and interpret contracts, legal documents, and regulatory guidance with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in preparing clear reports, documentation, and compliance‑related communications.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Integrity, sound judgment, high ethical standards, and confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, or a related field; professional certification in compliance or corporate governance is a plus.
• Prior experience in a legal, regulatory, or compliance role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector is preferred.
