Mathematics Teacher – Remote Full‑Time

About the role

The Mathematics Teacher role at Mathwhiz Academy is a full‑time, remote position focused on delivering high‑quality online mathematics instruction to students in Grades 9–11. The primary aim is to prepare learners for the CSEC Mathematics examination through engaging, curriculum‑aligned virtual classes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and record live virtual lessons that align with the CSEC curriculum.
• Create and adapt instructional materials, quizzes, assignments and exams to support student learning.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback and offer additional support where needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with learners and their guardians.
• Collaborate with the academic team to refine curriculum, teaching strategies and digital resources.
• Utilise digital classroom tools to enhance interaction and foster an inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in mathematics with experience teaching secondary‑level students, preferably CSEC Mathematics.
• Background in Mathematics Education or a related field, with demonstrated lesson‑planning and curriculum‑development abilities.
• Qualified Teacher status or equivalent teaching experience, and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a closely related discipline.
• Experience teaching in an online or blended environment and effective use of digital classroom tools.
• Clear, professional communication skills and a commitment to inclusive, non‑discriminatory teaching practices.
• Ability to work full‑time remotely with reliability, organization and strong time‑management.
