Photo Editor & Team Lead for Yearbook

About the role

The Yearbook team is seeking a dynamic Photo Editor to direct and manage all photographic content for the Templar Yearbook. You will ensure high standards of creativity and quality while collaborating closely with editorial leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all photographic content for the yearbook, maintaining creative standards.
• Partner with the Editor‑in‑Chief and Managing Editor to recruit photo editors and freelance photographers.
• Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of freelance photographers and photo editors.
• Coordinate with the Sports Team to delegate and complete photo assignments for that section.
• Ensure final photographic output aligns with established themes and quality benchmarks.
• Manage timelines and deliverables to keep the photography schedule in sync with the yearbook production calendar.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of digital photography and photo‑editing software.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities to manage and mentor a creative team.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
