Planning & Monitoring Specialist (Reporting)

About the role

The Planning & Monitoring Specialist will lead programme planning, budgeting and performance monitoring for UNICEF's Caribbean Multi‑Country Office, ensuring a coordinated, results‑driven approach across twelve countries.

Key responsibilities

• Design and coordinate the Annual Work Plan and multi‑country planning frameworks, integrating equity and results‑based management principles.
• Oversee situation monitoring, programme performance monitoring, and reporting to ensure compliance with UNICEF standards and value‑for‑money.
• Supervise Planning and Monitoring Officers in Belize and Guyana and a Senior Planning Associate in Suriname.
• Provide technical guidance, capacity building and knowledge management for planning and monitoring functions.
• Build partnerships, promote innovation and support HACT assurance processes.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in economics, social sciences, statistics, psychology or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in programme development, implementation and monitoring, including supervising teams.
• Experience developing analytical and measurement frameworks and programme monitoring frameworks.
• Experience in developing country contexts; humanitarian crisis response experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Statistical analysis using R, SPSS or Stata.
• Data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Data management and analytical reporting.
