QuickBooks Desktop Bookkeeper

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented QuickBooks Desktop Bookkeeper to handle day‑to‑day transaction processing, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance for our client portfolio. The role is fully remote and focuses heavily on manual data entry from physical and digital statements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping primarily in QuickBooks Desktop (≈95% of workload) with occasional QuickBooks Online tasks.
• Manually enter transactions line‑by‑line from physical or PDF bank and credit‑card statements.
• Accurately code income, expense and transfer items to the appropriate general‑ledger accounts.
• Conduct routine reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards and subsidiary ledgers.
• Review ledgers to identify and correct duplicate, missing or mis‑classified entries.
• Communicate proactively with senior accounting staff about missing receipts or discrepancies.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 + years of hands‑on, end‑to‑end bookkeeping experience.
• Proven mastery of QuickBooks Desktop (Enterprise, Premier, or Pro); familiarity with QuickBooks Online is a plus.
• Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping, chart of accounts, and financial statements.
• Exceptional speed and accuracy in manual data entry from physical/PDF statements.
• Clear written and verbal English communication skills.
