Vice President – Market & Liquidity Risk

About the role

The Vice President – Market & Liquidity Risk will provide independent second‑line oversight of market, liquidity, ALM and investment risks across Sagicor Group Caribbean’s jurisdictions and subsidiaries. This senior position reports to the SVP, Risk and works closely with senior stakeholders to ensure robust risk governance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee market, liquidity, ALM, investment and related financial risks independently across all SGC entities.
• Challenge exposure management, limit utilization and liquidity positioning against approved risk appetite and authorities.
• Implement and maintain risk policies, standards, limits and escalation protocols aligned with Group requirements.
• Monitor financial risk authorities, limits, breaches and trends, escalating material issues to senior governance forums.
• Support enterprise‑wide stress testing and conduct sensitivity analysis on interest rates, equity, FX, liquidity and investment portfolios.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Accounting, Risk Management or related field; advanced degree or professional designation preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in market risk, liquidity risk, ALM, treasury or investment risk, including significant second‑line oversight.
• Strong analytical judgement, executive communication skills, independence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
