Privacy Counsel

About the role

The Privacy Counsel will provide practical, business‑focused legal guidance on privacy, data protection, artificial intelligence and emerging technology matters across VXI Global Solutions’ worldwide operations. Working closely with Legal, Information Security, IT, Operations, HR and other functions, the counsel will ensure compliance with privacy requirements for new client programs, technology implementations, software platforms and data processing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Advise business units on the interaction of applicable privacy laws with global call‑center activities, including new programs and software use.
• Review and update policies, contracts and AI governance documents related to data protection and privacy.
• Perform Data Protection Officer duties in relevant jurisdictions and manage third‑party DPO relationships.
• Monitor legislative developments affecting emerging technologies and advise on their legal implications.
• Provide compliance guidance for telemarketing, collections and other licensing requirements.
• Conduct legal research, contract review and other general legal work as needed by the business.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience practicing privacy law or a closely related field.
• Strong working knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and other U.S. and international privacy frameworks.
• Proven ability to advise businesses on privacy and data‑protection requirements in a commercially focused manner.
• Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across functions, geographies and leadership levels.
• Self‑directed work style with the capacity to collaborate closely with a global legal team.
• Willingness to work Pacific Time business hours.
