Procurement Coordinator

About the role

The Procurement Coordinator will support humanitarian projects in Jamaica by managing all purchasing activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining accurate financial and inventory records. This position works closely with program managers and field teams to meet project needs efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain vendor and supplier lists, update financial records, and provide procurement advice to project staff.
• Process purchase requests, issue quotations, prepare quote analyses, and generate purchase orders.
• Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs), manage cash/check payments, and coordinate vendor payments.
• Ensure timely delivery of items to field locations, arranging transport as needed.
• Maintain material accounting records, including receipts, inspections, warehouse inventory, waybills, and delivery notes.
• Receive and verify goods for completeness, quality, and correct coding.
• Assist in procurement planning, supplier identification, and sourcing of locally available inputs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with at least two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in developing effective teams; medical logistics experience is preferred.
• Completion of 12 credit hours of college‑level Biblical Studies (or willingness to complete after hire).
