Web & Content Strategy Technical Specialist Consultant (Remote, 4 months)

About the role

The UNICEF Office of the Area Representative in Kingston seeks a consultant to coordinate the migration and launch of a new regional website and social media architecture. Working remotely under the supervision of the Area Representative, the role ensures a seamless transition with minimal disruption to users.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a unified content strategy and narrative for the Caribbean MCO.
• Redesign key web pages and programmatic sections to reflect the new regional structure.
• Draft, update and maintain core website content, ensuring editorial quality and compliance with UNICEF digital standards.
• Support alignment between website and social‑media strategies.
• Configure and launch the new Drupal‑based MCO website, including site navigation and information architecture.
• Coordinate CMS user‑role assignments with global teams.
• Lead migration of priority content from Belize, Eastern Caribbean Area, Jamaica, Guyana and Suriname, handling redirects, URL mapping and quality assurance.
• Verify functionality of links, embeds, analytics and tracking tools.
• Maintain compliance with UNICEF global UX, UI, accessibility and branding standards.
• Resolve content‑related issues and coordinate escalation of platform problems when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital media, information management or a related field.
• Technical background or experience with web content management is welcome.
