Operations Specialist – Administration, Supply & Procurement

About the role

The Operations Specialist (Administration, Supply & Procurement) supports the Deputy Representative (Operations) in overseeing procurement, supply chain and logistics across UNICEF’s Caribbean Multi‑Country Office. The role ensures governance, risk management and performance monitoring are effective for twelve countries and territories.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate administration, procurement, supply and logistics services, ensuring standardised, efficient and compliant delivery.
• Supervise Operations Associates (G6) and a Supply and Procurement Officer, providing guidance, quality assurance and escalation support for complex or high‑risk matters.
• Implement and monitor service standards, operating procedures, performance frameworks and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, ICT and Risk officers to integrate operational planning and enhance organisational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Relevant higher‑education qualification in supply chain, procurement, logistics or related field.
• Experience in managing procurement, supply chain or logistics operations in an international or multi‑country context.
• Ability to provide strategic guidance, oversee performance and ensure compliance with organisational policies.

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement and supply chain governance frameworks.
• Experience with performance monitoring and risk management in operational settings.
