Human Resources Manager

About the role

Lead the people function for a growing multinational food and beverage group in the Caribbean, based at the head office in Montego Bay. You will be the senior HR presence on the ground, handling employee relations, compliance and people strategy with a high degree of autonomy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full employee lifecycle for head office and site teams, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development and exits.
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary, grievance and capability processes, investigations and, where required, matters before the Ministry of Labour and Industrial Disputes Tribunal.
• Ensure compliance with Jamaican labour law, including the Labour Relations and Industrial Disputes Act, termination, redundancy, minimum wage and statutory contributions (NIS, NHT, HEART, PAYE).
• Advise managers on policy, contracts, scheduling, overtime and payroll across multiple shift‑based sites.
• Roll out group HR policies and systems locally, reporting on headcount, turnover and absence.
• Build training, engagement, recognition and retention programmes that support service standards and reduce turnover.
• Support new site openings with workforce planning and volume recruitment.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of HR experience in the Caribbean.
• Full, practical knowledge of Caribbean labour law, with Jamaican legislation essential.
• Proven record of HR leadership within Caribbean companies.
• Experience supporting multi‑site, shift‑based teams, including volume recruitment.
• Food & beverage, quick‑service restaurant, retail or hospitality experience is a strong advantage.
• Relevant degree or HR qualification such as CIPD or SHRM.
