Landscaping Coordinator

About the role

The Landscaping Coordinator will lead the maintenance team at an Iberostar resort in Jamaica, ensuring that all green areas are kept to the highest aesthetic and safety standards. This role combines operational leadership with hands‑on horticultural expertise to deliver beautiful, sustainable landscapes for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce the company’s landscaping standards, aesthetic criteria and protocols.
• Oversee project execution and renovations, guaranteeing compliance with design specifications.
• Direct daily and weekly tasks of the gardening team, supervising pruning, fertilisation, pest management and irrigation.
• Train staff on standard operating procedures and monitor on‑site technical work.
• Manage the operating and project budgets, analysing material costs, water consumption and machinery performance.
• Maintain relationships with local suppliers and nurseries, ensuring purchased plants meet technical specifications.
• Conduct quality audits of green areas to ensure consistent visual presentation.

Required profile

• Degree or higher technical training in Landscape Architecture, Agronomy, Botany or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in project execution and maintenance within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Proven ability to lead a team, control budgets and enforce standards.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
