Payroll Coordinator – Montego Bay

About the role

The Payroll Coordinator ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for a diverse set of employee groups, including regular staff, retirees, flight attendants, expatriates, and individuals with disability‑related payroll needs. The role may be performed remotely when a high‑speed internet connection and a safe work environment are available.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll on schedule for all assigned populations, verifying data and correcting discrepancies.
• Maintain and update payroll records, including banking information and employee changes.
• Handle disability‑related payroll cases, garnishments, and tax‑related activities in line with policies and deadlines.
• Research and resolve payroll issues related to pay, deductions, taxes, direct deposit, and employee data.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Tax, Finance, and other stakeholders to gather information and address payroll questions.
• Support payroll reconciliations, audits, reporting, and year‑end activities.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements to enhance consistency and efficiency.
• Communicate professionally with employees, managers, and business partners regarding payroll inquiries.

Required profile

• Authorization to work and reside in Jamaica at the time of application.
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Ability to manage sensitive information accurately and confidentially.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with internal partners and employees.
