Payroll Specialist – Multi‑Population Payroll Processing

About the role

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing accurate, timely, and compliant payroll for a wide range of employee groups, including regular staff, retirees, flight attendants, expatriates, employees with disability‑related payroll needs, and global mobility payments. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive information with care.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll on schedule for all assigned populations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Review payroll inputs and outputs, identify discrepancies, validate data, and resolve issues before payroll run.
• Maintain and update payroll records, including banking data and employee changes.
• Handle disability‑related payroll transactions, garnishments, and tax‑related activities according to established procedures and deadlines.
• Research and resolve payroll issues related to pay, deductions, taxes, direct deposit, and employee data.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Tax, Finance, and other stakeholders to gather information and address payroll questions.
• Support payroll reconciliations, audits, reporting, and year‑end activities to ensure audit readiness.
• Monitor recurring issues and process gaps, contributing to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, managers, and business partners regarding payroll inquiries.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to spot and resolve data discrepancies.
